Alessia Signorella
Piano & Voice
Alessia is a classically trained vocalist and pianist hailing from Toronto, Canada who specialises in a range of different genres. She has now completed her Bachelor of Music in music education at the University of Toronto and most recently her Master of Arts degree in music education at University College London’s Institute of Education. Through her degrees, she has explored a wide range of musical styles from Classical, Jazz, Gospel, Music Theatre, and Pop all in a solo and ensemble settings. Throughout her undergraduate studies, Alessia was actively involved in leadership roles, including serving as the Marketing Director and later President of Surround Sound A Cappella Choir.
Alessia’s research interests span diction pedagogy, vocal pedagogy, sociolinguistics, and policy planning in music education, while contributing to scholarly discussions through various publications and presentations at notable conferences, including the National Collegiate Research Conference at Harvard University and the Interdisciplinary Voice Conference at the University of Cambridge. In addition to her academic pursuits, Alessia has considerable teaching experience across Canada and the UK and has performed with several esteemed choirs, including the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir and the Ontario Youth Choir. Currently, she continues to nurture young talent as a music teacher while advancing their research in music education.
